La Rectorie, Banyuls-sur-Mer

Marc & Thierry Parcé ont hérité d'un vignoble familial.
En 1984, date de la première mise en bouteille au domaine, la majeure partie des vignes exploitées provenait de leur arrière grand-mère, Thérèse Parcé. Veuve très jeune, c'est à la mort de son père, Marcelin Reig, qu'elle cessa de vinifier à la maison. Elle géra le domaine pendant un demi-siècle, jusqu'en 1969. Femme simple, courageuse, de fort caractère, la « Thérésette » fut une vigneronne exemplaire. Elle est notre racine paysanne.

Au Domaine de La Rectorie les vinifications sont guidées par le choix des vignes : à partir d'une trentaine de parcelles d'expositions et d'altitudes différentes (O à 400 m) nous terminons les vendanges en ayant vinifié une trentaine de vins.
L'âge des vignes, la maîtrise des rendements, le maintien des cépages originaux... c'est par ces moyens simples que nous pouvons rester en harmonie avec l'identité de ce terroir.
Le cépage principal est le grenache noir pour le Banyuls complété d'un peu de syrah de carignan et de mourvèdre pour le Collioure. Les Blancs sont issus de grenache gris.

La Préceptorie, Maury

La Préceptorie est née en 2001, d'une rencontre des familles Parcé et Legrand de La Rectorie à Banyuls avec des vignerons vivant à Maury. Soixante kilomètres séparent les deux Domaines et les raisins sont vinifiés séparément dans chacun d'eux. Toutes les vignes de La Préceptorie se situent sur l'aire d'Appellation Maury, la parcelle la plus occidentale (les Terres nouvelles), sur la commune de Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet sur la route de l'Ariège, nous permet sur un terroir schisteux, de vinifier des blancs secs à partir de grenaches gris. La cave se situe sur le plateau surplombant au sud la vallée de Maury, dans un village anciennement nommé Centernach, qui abrita une ancienne possession templière d'où le partronyme de ce jeune Domaine : La Préceptorie. (Une Préceptorie, nom donné par les Templiers à une petite fondation, dépendait d'une Commanderie).
Nous vinifions à La Préceptorie des Côtes du Roussillon blancs et Rouges, des Maury ainsi que des Vins de Pays.

The vineyard of Marc and Thierry Parcé has been in their family for generations passed down from their Great Grand Mother, Therese Parcé. They started bottling their wine on the estate in 1984.  Widowed very young, she stopped making wine on the estate following the death of her Father, Marcelin Reig. She ran the estate for half a century until 1969. She was an extraordinary winemaker as well as a brave and strong-minded woman with simple tastes and was nicknamed by the family “Theresette”.  She has given us our agricultural roots.
The choice of vinification at the Domaine de La Rectorie, is guided by the vineyards : there are thirty different patches of vineyards influenced by varying exposures to the sun and also at different altitudes which make thirty wines.  The age of the vineyard, mastering the yields and maintaining the unusual grape varieties are simple ways for us to maintain the identity of the terroir.  The main grape variety is Grenache, used for Banyuls together with a little Syrah, Carignan and Mourvedre for the ‘Collioure’ wine.  The whites are made from Grenache Gris.

La Préceptorie, Maury.
 La Préceptorie was created in 2001 following the meeting of the Parcé and Legrand families of La Rectorie in Banyuls, and winegrowers living in Maury. Sixty kilometres separate the two estates and the grapes from each are fermented separately. All the vineyards at La Préceptorie are located on the Maury appellation. The most western patch (Les Terres Nouvelles) in the village of Saint Paul de Fenouillet, on the road to the Ariège, has a schist soil ideal for the dry whites wine from the Grenache Gris vines.  The cellar is located on a flat hill top that overhangs the southern part of the Maury valley, in a village formerly called Centernach.  It used to be owned by the Knights Templar, hence the name of this young estate: La Préceptorie. (A Préceptorie is the name given by the knight’s templar to a foundation).  At the Préceptorie we make white and red Côtes du Roussillon wines, fortified Maury wine, and also Vins de Pays.
